The British Gurkha armed forces’ veteran members of Tamu Samaj UK took part in the London Borough of Brent Civic remembrance service to pay our respect to all those peoples who lost their lives in service for the country. The parade was on 11th of November 2018 which was held at the Memorial Site, Queen Elizabeth Garden Barham Park, Wembley, London. This special remembrance service and parade commemorated the centenary of the end of first world war.
After the Brent Civic Remembrance Sunday service and parade, Tamu Samaj UK hosted a curry supper for the local dignitaries at the Tamu Samaj Nepalese Community Centre. To welcome our guests, a short introductory speech on Tamu Samaj UK and its ties to Nepalese veterans was delivered by Mr Sanjay Gurung.
Tamu Samaj UK would like to express our deepest gratitude to all ex Gurkha veterans who participated in the remembrances parade and to members who worked so hard to host a wonderful dinner in our community Centre. Special thanks to Mrs Bindu Ghale Chairperson of ama samuha and her team.
